United 189 (inbound) turning 190 back to San Francisco disgorges its trash and leftovers before loading just about 1,000 meals and enough beverages to do 3 meal services and 2 snack services on the 14 hour flight from Manila. Truly a feat of modern engineering and capabilities.

Being the nerd I can be, it is now possible to fly from Europe to deep in to Asia and do it entirely on 737’s with added service to Mongolia and Madeira. Not that I would encourage it but that’s pretty cool!
