The problem is the whole system of asylum. E.g. anyone in China can claim they’re being persecuted for their political views, women in Muslim countries can claim they’re being oppressed due to their gender, being gay is punishable by death in some places, etc.

Taiwan didn’t have its first really big COVID wave until April of last year and I already have friends who’ve gotten it multiple times here. This really sucks. How many times can we keep catching this before it ruins everyone’s health?
