Some updated numbers as of Wednesday evening. A few 5"+ totals from the storm last night into Wednesday. 4" in Seward. 3.9" in Hastings. Lincoln got 3.1".

It's going to be a COLD start to Thursday. Actual lows will be bad enough, but with the wind, the wind chill is going to be painful. You can get frostbite in around 30 minutes in temperatures like that. Be safe, friends!

@NebraskaDog34 Likely lots of reasons. Dry air being the first. It was a granular snow, too, so it kind of settled quickly limiting piling up like fluffy snow usually does. Wasn't surprised, though. Weather models usually overdo it to some extent.

As of 8:45am, 2.5" of snow in SE Lincoln has melted down to 0.12" of liquid. That's a 20:1 ratio. VERY fluffy snow! It's still snowing and blowing, too, so we aren't done yet.

As of 845am Wednesday: In SE Lincoln, it's still snowing, but I was able to measure 2.5" of fluffy snow. Lots of bare patches and drifts, too. It's windy, so it's blowing around quite a bit and the roads are a mess. Easy does it out there today!
