Today it is 55 years since Donald Campbell was fatally injured in his Water Speed Record attempt on Coniston Water. Will remember Donald in our usual way with a service and wreath laying at the Memorial in Coniston, then a visit to his grave.

What a way to celebrate DMCs Land Speed Record in 1964 where he achieved 403.10mph at Lake Eyre in CN7 with this gorgeous model that has just arrived. This model was made to order so its not available for sale, and hence why it’s still in its wrapping, but what a beauty 😍
