Iowa has a little over 3 million people and there were 10 million library visits in FY22. 1.5 million people attended one of the nearly 87,000 programs put on by one of Iowa's 544 public libraries that same fiscal year. Iowa's also 4th nationally for number of public libraries.
@Rushthewriter I don't remember the last time I used a library. I'm sure some Iowans love them, but if I had to guess, I'd estimate that 75% wouldn't really miss them. Am I way off?.
