@MitoPsychoBio Going to push back on using "mitotype," since the existing practice in the field is that this refers to mitochondrial genotype (based on my experience, at least)

@baym Worse are the news headlines. Did you see one yesterday that read something like "There is a spoon's worth of plastic in your brain"? (and not how much plastic would fit in a spoon, but the amount of plastic that makes up a typical disposable plastic spoon)

Fun geography fact time: which of the 50 United States has the largest (and smallest) ratio of total area/land area? That is, which states have the smallest (and largest) percent of area covered by water? (Don't ask how I got down this rabbit hole…)

Reagent-sharing etiquette ? for PIs: what's the best response for a cold-email request to share a reagent (worm strain, in this case) that I used in a paper & I got from a stock center (CGC)? My instinct is to refer them to CGC.

Package from @PenzeysSpices arrived in rough shape, but still intact! Good job packing my spices. Now for holiday baking to commence…

close-in seats are great at lots of concerts, but best practice for prog rock seems to be to sit farther back to enjoy the lighting too! LASERs just aren't the same in the press pool and inner box seats

@MalibuRumBarbie @PollySamson Pool right are tough seats. There are a few posts from other shows having similar situations. Polly was only out for a song or two though. Sorry your night wasn’t what you expected.

Here's the thing: most concerts are more energetic but the music quality isn't as good as the album. Go see @GilmourTour to get the best of both. Better than the album (esp. when the musicians are warm enough to feel their fingers), & the atmosphere is outstanding! Light show 🔥

A privilege to hear @thewebbsisters w/David Gilmour in Hollywood. Long time listener (via Leonard Cohen times) & 1st-time concern-goer. MSG attendees are in for a real treat. It is the harmonies.

@GilmourTour Was that @benworsleymusic also singing on In Any Tongue? Whoever it was has a fantastic voice that really complements the song.
