I have a young family member who lives in Florida. Her father died and the school she was going to had a lot of kids thinking they were the opposite sex attending there. In her grief, she got sucked into a group that decided they were asexual. This went on for several months. Her mother had no intention of doing anything chemically or surgically to alter her but let her play out her grief this way until she saw it was doing more harm than good emotionally for her. She pulled her out of her school, put her in a private one where she met some different kids. Now she's a beautiful young woman, a competitive cheerleader, has a job and is so thankful her mother took her out of the toxic environment she was in. Thank God she doesn't live in Minnesota! It could've turned out very differently.

I have an honest question for @bradhoylman and @ebottcher, both gay men, and @MarkLevineNYC, who booted gay man @craigslutzkin from CB5 for straying a teensy tiny bit from extreme trans ideology: What about all the young gay kids being made “straight” through transition? Why don’t you want to protect them from what amounts to conversion therapy—conversion with drugs & surgery? Gay kids in the UK have their champions and protectors speaking up and fighting back, why not in NYC? The least—very least you could do, is to acknowledge that there is room for conversation around pediatric “trans”health care and give gay kids a fighting chance. Do you think @MensNetwork1 is wrong that efforts to criminalize non-affirming approaches is homophobic?
