Yet, I don't feel like today's Twitter is the best channel for sharing thoughts & updates to my work :-/ I just feel strong distaste for any ruthless concentration of power. So, I've signed up for BSky, which seems like a reasonable alternative, and I hope to try it instead :-)

I think this shows the PITA with chat apps today is _not_ lack of common network protocol (like SMTP), but lack of agreed *storage* formats/conventions. If we could enforce stronger separation between the apps logic vs data storage, we would be able to switch apps easier.

Women's strikes against anti-abortion laws continue in Poland... Last night police used gas against the protesters (mostly comprising women). An un-uniformed unit of police mixed into the crowd and started beating people. Looks like the gov is starting to loose their temper...

Oh, and this all happening during a semi-lockdown in the whole country! Gatherings of 5+ ppl are banned, restaurants have been closed, covid statistics are soaring, etc etc. No matter! Ppl felt they must protest still. Imagine the crowds if these measures were not in place!
