Dayton shot more free throws, had less fouls called on them, Loyola’s big men were basically taken out of the game because of a few silly calls and Holmes had a few bailouts. Officiating was very even, if anything leaning Dayton. What a wild take lol
Dayton lost because 23-11 turnovers. Refs were horrible (for example, play to end 1H gifted at least 3 points to Loyola), but no excuses with that many turnovers. Just awful turnovers and an inability to guard ATOs (after timeouts).
