There have been a lot of posts on social media recently about this or that European politician suggesting that Lemkin's definition of genocide does not match the situation in Palestine. To help clear things up, we are offering this quote from chapter IX of Lemkin's Axis Rule in Occupied Europe (1944). One might even say that Lemkin's definition fits the situation in Palestine for the past 76 years.
