@BellaRoscetti Back 40 years... May 1984 pay of £731 after tax inflates to £2628 plus free laundry and free room. BUT it was 4 months 1:2 and 2 months 1:1 with no leave allowed during the 6 month contract (extra money after finishing instead). Free time ~zero so disposable income/hr felt good

There's life in the Old Geek yet..... This afternoon one of our daughters rang with an Excel problem that she just couldn't crack.... Cue a Zoom call and shared screen with Dad and... problem solved. This was immensely gratifying....!
