Rose & Peony kinda hate each other (no contact in the SLIGHTEST in canon) & are polar opposites in terms of personality, but i've always been so stricken by how similar their rare league cards are despite this estrangement, even if not so obvious at first glance.

Peony's, in comparison, feels genuine and more down-to-earth. the cranes in the background point to this photo being taken in a smaller town, and he's smiling, his wife is smiling, & his young daughter is smiling - it is a sweet and loving look at their family! not faked, REAL!.

in theory, Rose's card is fun & lighthearted (even with a cameo from his frigid assistant! wow!) but in reality? it's a cheesy pose in a dumb outfit in upscale Wyndon w/ a sparkle edited onto Rose's smile - it's an ATTEMPT at being genuine and relatable, but it falls flat.

with Peony's card mentioning they caught their Cufants together, it could be a signifier of a memory they both share - even if they're on completely different paths in their lives & refuse to be in one another's again. a reminder of what they shared & seem to continue to share.
