@StephNass It's like the Reid Hoffman saying that building a startup is like assembling a plane in mid air. You do have to assemble the plane properly, otherwise you die. But some companies are able to do this.

As we hear these stories of hyper-growth AI businesses, there will be many cases where the hard but inevitable will end up getting skipped, and it won't be pretty.

@dadiomov I really want to create an MBA course on boom and bust cycles. I think it would be fascinating and very useful. I haven't really studied these - I imagine the bust is not related to balanced budgets, but the exuberance that followed after it?

@eightsleep is truly awesome. Yes, it's extremely expensive, which is why I didn't get it for years. But my wife gave it to me for Christmas and it has exceeded my expectations. Not an investor, just a very impressed customer.

As a corollary, what % of VCs, if they were running their own companies, wouldn’t raise 50% more at seed than they need for the same dilution from similar investors? I’d say <10%
