@DavidReid01 @DoggerSaints Suspect you will see those clubs move towards more overseas players soon as well. The massive inflation in the English lower leagues is really biting. More loans and more foreigners I’d imagine

@kmacraeplockton @Keir_Starmer 100% The US election showed what's coming unless they sharpen right up. I get why they thought people wanted Govt to disappear to just get on with things (sensible folk do), but the Dems defeat showed how flawed that approach is in wider terms.

@kmacraeplockton @Keir_Starmer I did think that quiet competence was what people were looking for - but the US election changed everything. As has the weaponisation of social platforms - people need to see what's happening relentlessly for them to have a chance of taking it in and beating the lies

But I mean on other policies as well, just quietly going about their business isn't working - they're being monstered and nobody is seeing what they're doing. They have to show people over and over and over to break through the information walls we have now.

@kmacraeplockton @Keir_Starmer Biden thought by just quietly delivering things the Democrats would be rewarded - and hardly anyone noticed. The only way to break through that in the modern media landscape is by showing voters they're addressing the things they care about - and doing it loudly.
