I once had a conversation with an EU patient regarding charities, she was surprised at the amount of charity shops in in the UK, I asked how her country (Germany) handles it, she looked surprised and went "We pay tax so people in need don't need charity"

The NHS in Scotland is devolved. This is entirely in keeping to name it after a Scottish nurse, in the same way as the NHS in England has named their hospital after an English nurse. All good in this family of equal nations.
