What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like? Vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.? In China they say what apps can’t do. With TikTok in the US, they influence, silence and control users algorithmically. They never see it coming.

@denisedwheeler Could be but China and Putin / Russia are using social media to influence our country . Don’t worry it will be back. Trump and Republicans are owned by China and Putin. He’ll put it back on and eventually a wealthy Republican will own it and China will still have access.

@denisedwheeler I agree but I also recognize the threat to US citizens and our country letting China have that access . I’d also agree like I said that wealthy Republicans who have the same access are also the same threat.
