Anyone who has done a math degree and watched others do one as well understands that there are huge gaps in ability between people that are basically intrinsic and basically intractable. One person explains something clearly in 15 seconds, another takes 10 minutes to get it wrong.

@haye_peterman More third places would be a good thing. I’m not knocking bookstores as a date spot (I’ve done this before, it’s not a bad choice). But you rarely find the kind of books you actually want there.
