🖼 Here's an infographic that shows (most of) the capsules/banners that Steam requires. (Includes an example capsule for Witchmore, my game.)
Do you have any tips for making images that fit within the very different image sizes?

BOOK RELEASE 💥
How to Make a Video Game All By Yourself is a guide for anyone who wants to make their own video game.
It's OUT NOW for paperback, Kindle, and digital platforms. I wrote and illustrated it myself over the last 2 years.

3/ Iconic imagery
The world is vast and noisy; how will anyone remember your game? Find some eye-popping visuals from your game (or key art) that you can show when you talk about your game.
Try to get noticed! Go for big, bold, and high contrast.
How do you design your games? On paper? In a digital document?
Or do you go straight to code (or your editor)?
If you have a template you use I'd love to see it 🔽
1/ A landing page
If you're talking about your game it's great to be able to send folks to a page so they can learn more and follow along.
Ideally it's your own domain, something like , but linking to a store page on
@itchio
or wherever is good too.
So I absolutely LOVE the game I'm working on, but --
I'm not sure how marketable it is 😅 Do you have this problem? Where do you put your game on this chart?
