Everyone wants alt season but then keeps fudding ETH… A lot of mid/small cap alts have WETH as their quote pair in their main LP which means that the alts are actually being traded with ETH as the quote price, not dollars This means that when ETH pulls a 2x in dollar terms, your alt will pull a 2x in dollar terms even if the Alt/ETH price never moved On top of that, people will see the positive price action and accelerate the pump which means smaller cap alts will fly even harder When ETH dumps, same thing happens but accelerated in the opposite direction In my opinion, the only way we see 'alt season' where tons of alts fly is when ETH flies and pull a 2-5x from current levels Same thing with SOL ecosystem and memes They really fly when SOL starts to move.
