MY EXPERIENCE WITH EGG FREEZING
For those considering it and those that are just curious about it.
It is NOT for the fainthearted! Some may say different but I can only speak from my experience as a black 33yo single woman.

This is makes me sad because a London club without a single black player. Not a dig at any of the women in this photo but man, representation matters. I will NEVER forget the impact representation in Arsenal and Charlton had on me as a little black girl growing up in London
This breaks my heart man and I pray God's healing power works again like it worked before. His story and perseverance *chills*

Step 21: END OF THE JOURNEY
Had follow up with fertility dr today regarding the Violet report. Turns out, the last report was an error due to an apparent ‘software bug’ 😒 *STRONGEST SIDE EYE*
Corrected report says 86% chance of 6-12 embryos
It is NOT for the fainthearted! Im emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually drained. Grateful to have this as a fallback plan. My heart truly goes out to those who have/had to go through treatment because of infertility and as a last resort. I can only imagine 😢
5 years a Torontonian 🤯 but still a Londoner at heart!
I landed in Toronto on Saturday 13th January 2018 from London 🇬🇧 It was -15 degrees Celsius and there had been a snow storm. I got my 2 year work permit upon arrival and what was meant to be just 2 years is now FIVE
I will forever cherish the memories and you will live on in our hearts

The mention of united or football manager will continue to always remind me of you.
Until we meet again bro
The way I grin from ear to ear reading tweets about

and watching the videos. Something about the branding and the black joy has you on board even without having attended
Step 1: Referral from gynaecologist to a fertility doctor
Process may vary from country to country, province to province. I did it in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
While I am here, ladies, please get a gynae if you don’t have one!
And so the Fertility Treatment (Egg Freezing) journey begins 🙏🏾
Saw my Gynaecologist today and she has put in a referral to one of the fertility doctors she recommends to her patients. The fertility clinic will contact me for an appointment. All tests and examinations done there
Step 4: Appointment with fertility doctor to go through assessment results and your individual protocol
Goal: stimulate, retrieve and freeze close to 20 eggs
- 80% will be mature
- 70% of those frozen
Fibroids only impact egg retrieval if they impact accessibility to ovaries
12-June-2023
Met my fertility doctor for the first time. Went through
- medical history
- family history
- lifestyle questions
- therapy resources
- review of blood test results
- review of ultrasound results
- overview of fertility outlook and next steps to kick off treatment

My therapist said you cannot wait for people to see, understand or acknowledge how they hurt you. It may never happen and you have to be okay with that
Step 21: cont…
NOTE - None of above guarantees a baby, nothing is 100% predictive
Dr advised based on research
70% of frozen eggs will survive thawing
70% of eggs that survive thawing will fertilise
Of the fertilised, only a subset will make embryos
4 embryos,80% chance of a baby
