Please read the statement from the PA and Mahmoud Abbas properly 1) PA is canceling the direct “pay for slay” policy (emphasis on the word “direct” here). The government will not pay it anymore by itself 2) The program (including its database, financial, international and local allocation) is moved to the NGO - the Palestinian National Foundation for Economic Empowerment 3) This NGO shall continue to perform previous fiduciary obligations that the PA government undertook That means the PA government will transfer money to the NGO and the NGO will be providing funds in the “pay for slay” policy It is a sneaky way to avoid being directly blamed by USA for maintaining this policy and claiming that these funds are now coming from private hands, not the government. Which is a lie and a deflection tactic, but they hoped that no one will notice Bottom line: “PAY FOR SLAY” is not going anywhere, they have just rebranded it. Don’t fall for Abbas’ deception h/t @LahavHarkov
