For querying authors doing pitch events! Remember, not getting an industry like doesn’t mean your idea is bad. I actually found my agent when I saw her liking pitches during an event in my genre. She didn’t like mine, but I decided to cold query her and the rest is history!

I want to add because I did NOT expect this to get so much attention. Most of my fears about age have to do with feelings of wasted time. I have multiple chronic illnesses and had to face my morality rather young. So I worry. But sincerely this thread is wonderful. Thank you all!

I got a rejection from an agent who had my full and the first pages of my WIP. She has passed on the work I was querying but gave amazing feedback and had such enthusiasm for my WIP. I remember reading that email and feeling so oddly good. She is now my agent. 🤗

When I got this cat, he hid for three whole days. Now, he runs to my side any time I have to lie down due to my chronic pain. My little love just purrs away and stays with me. I don’t know if he knows, or if he just wants snuggles. But he is the best blessing I could ask for.

My partner is a stay a home dad. I may have gotten them a surprise staycation at a hotel nearby to not have to worry about childcare for a week and I’m so excited for them!! I hope they get so much rest and I can’t wait for girls week for me and my daughter :).
