@Travis67142308 @guRaizu By that logic Doom/Quake has to be the godfather of all such games. Play enough OW and you realize there's a big divergence from TF2 in the senses of gamemode, execution, etc. MR on the otherhand was developed by a studio notoriously known for making CHEAP clones & abandon them.

@basednii Appreciate this convo. Again, I still love OW more than MR & at the same time I enjoy the obvious perks of shiny new things + actual good thing MR has. OW needs a direct competitor for sure; at the same time some MR glazing takes are tonedeaf & ignorant af.

@basednii @Travis67142308 @guRaizu Well I do also think few form of arts might just be recycled/repurposed shared experiences in different expressions. But how such ideas stick together, how they make sense as a whole made people appreciate the art — or not. MR could get there but so far nothing THAT unique.

@basednii @Travis67142308 @guRaizu just to be clear: no one could deny the history of TF2, hero shooter and the whole genre. at the same time you just can’t ignore the blatant attempt to copy the vibe, map layout, everything from OW - one was built from the ground up & MR didnt even try to hide the inspiration.
