Boys BB: The @pierzpioneers lost 79-38 to #1 ranked Albany. The Huskies raced out to a 32-0 lead to start the game before the Pioneers got on the board thanks to a pair of Jaxsen Hardy free throws. Nate Cekalla led Pierz with 11 points. Sam Hondl led Albany with 28.

Attention @pierzpioneers Girls Basketball C Squad parents & fans: the C Squad will play Sartell-St. Stephen tomorrow (Tuesday 2/11) at Sartell at 5:45 pm. There will be an admission charge and tickets are available online only, no cash sales at the door.

Youth Basketball Night for the @pierzpioneers was a huge hit on Friday when Pierz hosted Pequot Lakes in a Girls/Boys doubleheader! Afterwards, the Pioneer stars of tomorrow posed for photos with the stars of today!

The @pierzpioneers Speech Team began the season at Onamia today with lots of excited new team members! Lacey Giuliani & AnnMarie Richmond took 6th in Duo, Tru Tepania & Zed Flexk got Honorable Mention in Duo & Reese Winscher competed in Humor. The next meet is 2/22 at Princeton.

Girls WR: She's done it! @pierzpioneers Freshman Ava Phillips has become the 1st Pierz Girls wrestler to qualify for the State Tournament! Today in Brainerd, she won her Semifinal, then lost in the Finals, then won 4-2 in her 136 True 2nd match! Isabelle Smith took 6th at 112.

Dance: The @pierzpioneers Pizzazz Dance Team competed in the Section 2A Meet at New London-Spicer on Friday. They finished 8th in Kick and 9th in Jazz. Holdingford won the Kick, St. Cloud Cathedral won Jazz. The State Dance meet is next weekend at Target Center.

Boys BB: The @pierzpioneers and Pequot Lakes Patriots went back and forth until Nate Cekalla scored with :06 left to put Pierz ahead 65-63. Pequot Lakes missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Pioneers upended the #8 ranked Patriots. Pierz is at #1 Albany on Tuesday.

GBB: The @pierzpioneers fell behind early and could never recover in a low-scoring 46-26 loss to Pequot Lakes. McKenna Hoheisel scored 9 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for the Pioneers. Pierz is at Little Falls on Thursday.

WR: The @pierzpioneers won 12 of 13 matches in their 48-3 regular season finale win over Foley. Rylan Gruber (107) & Gauge Johnson (127) won by Fall. Kyle Stangl (114) & Grady Young (133) won by Tech Fall. Pierz starts the Section 7AA Team Tournament next Saturday in Grand Rapids

Girls WR: The @pierzpioneers sent 5 wrestlers to the Section 7 & 8 Individual Tournament in Brainerd, which began Friday & continues Saturday. Ava Phillips (136) is in the Semis, Isabelle Smith (112), Myah Held (118) and Kayla Virnig (124) are in the Consolation Quarterfinals.

Due to weather concerns, the Section 2A Dance Competition for the @pierzpioneers Pizzazz Dance Team scheduled for Saturday at New London-Spicer, has been moved to this Friday night starting at 6:30 pm!
