For a few years I've been breeding new resilient #lettuce varieties for #London's tough growing conditions. Just found one of them self-seeded and growing in the crack at the bottom of this wall! šŖ #streetfood

Food growing is hard in London's soil (if you're lucky) and rubble. But at this time of year, when this 4x10m backyard in #Walworth yields soft fruit like this every day, it feels worth it.
