Do you have an opinion on Healthright360's justification for what it calls "safe consumption sites" by pointing to studies showing that safe consumption sites lead to decreased public drug use, lower emergency healthcare costs, and do not increase crime or drug use in surrounding areas? They cite the success of programs like those in Canada, Australia, and Western Europe as evidence of the effectiveness of harm reduction strategies.

There is overwhelming evidence that people in CCSF illegally are dealing deadly drugs with impunity. This is a public policy disaster. How can @DanielLurie effectively combat the fentanyl crisis without combating this root cause? Either way, CCSF cannot legally block ICE from deporting individuals. ICE retains the authority to enforce federal immigration law within this city, albeit potentially with reduced local support or information.
