Year in Review- 2024 Part 1 ✉️ Every vision starts with a foundation, and for RegenBuild, 2024 was exactly that. 💚 From ideation to validation, collaboration to execution, this was a transformative year of connecting with passionate minds, refining our workflows, and building a community committed to regeneration in the built environment.🏡 Here’s a breakdown of our journey through 2024: Q1: Discovery 💡 Our journey started with two action-packed AEC Hackathons that connected us to the passionate AEC community. We met industry veterans and professionals who have been at the forefront of AEC tech and validated RegenBuild’s ideas. Zurich Hackathon: 💻 Here, we worked on an open-source project to create a custom GPT that could interpret building regulations and won a prize for the efforts. This event was also special as it helped bring Arsenii Kirillov onboard, who is now a core contributor to our Proof of Regen Design (PoRD) workflow. Read more: Copenhagen Hackathon:💻 In Copenhagen we introduced a challenge critical to the PoRD workflow, which was to transform any BIM into an analytical energy model using topologic and an open-source stack. The outcome? Appreciation from the panel for the challenge taken up and an invaluable  brainstorming experience that solidified our conviction to seek a solution beyond the hackathon. More details: By the end of March, we had validated our ideas, built a strong foundation, and assembled a passionate team in Arsenii Kirillov and DARSHAN DILIPKUMAR to work on PoRD worflow Q2: Getting Started The second quarter was about building momentum. 🚀 Published our first article of the series exploring a suitable framework to guide projects on their regeneration pursuits: “The Need for a Shared Language for Regeneration in the Built Environment” 📄 The article seeks to establish coherence among the stakeholders with a shared language that serves as a foundation for better communication and collaboration in the ecosystem. Read here: Secured  funding from @gitcoin Grant Round 20 and the @solarpunkdao $EARTH QF Round, which provided the resources to push forward. ⏩ By the end of June, RegenBuild was well underway to conduct more research and make progress on the PoRD workflow. We had transformed from a concept into a validated initiative with a growing community. 📈 Wait… there’s more to the story! 🔜 Stay tuned for the next post where we’ll share how we expanded our horizon and  wrapped up the year with impactful initiatives and exciting milestones. 😇 LFG💚
