🚨🚨 NEW ARTICLE ON BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP (link in comments) This new article analyzes the legal foundations of birthright citizenships and how the concept as applied to children of illegal is completely unrelated to its original context. The tl;dr is that not only can birthright citizenship be terminated, but there is also a case for revoking it retroactively

Prime Minister Ishiba brought a special gift to Trump: the "Eternal Helmet" - a gold samurai helmet created by a company in the PM's hometown. Japanese government officials commented that such helmets are currently popular in the US, thanks to Ohtani and the Shogun TV series.

@kuan_fan34 Someone who is employed in a purely technical role where his anti-White opinions are not shared in the workspace, nor are they incitement to violence, and nor are they posted under his name should not be grounds for termination.

This is clear, but let's say there's some legitimate business interest in not being associated with certain viewpoints or activities, or certain individuals who themselves are associated with such viewpoints and activities... (This applies more to private employers than the federal government, although even in the case of the federal government, the ruling administration, e.g. Trump may suffer a political cost)... But there's still a distinction between someone openly expressing certain viewpoints, and someone, perhaps allegedly in the past, expressing such viewpoints. The former is visible to the general public, but the latter requires complex investigation and resources. There's a bunch of other issues here.. archive searches are a dangerous tool.
Does he do the job well? Is his position based on merit? Does he get along with his coworkers? Does he follow agency directives? Is he plainly not compromised by some other entity (eg a foreign government)? Then no reason to fire him. That’s a blatant violation of at least the spirit of the First Amendment otherwise

@kuan_fan34 It shouldn't matter what opinions he posted, because he attempted to anonymize his opinions and because the associations of such opinions with his role as an employee has only been made coincidental by a journalis.

He did not express his views in his capacity as a federal employee, nor did he even express his views under his actual name. Cancelling people based on statements they've made previously, or statements they've made anonymously sets the stage for Journalists controlling someone's eligibility for employment.

@elonmusk @Anarseldain While I obviously disagree with his thoughts on Israel, he should remain, if his only reason for termination are his political views!

@kuan_fan34 Federal employees are already protected from termination on account of their political views
