@JohnStossel @annbauerwriter The penny isn’t the problem. Government inflation is. I remember when I could buy things with pennies, which used to be made with real copper. No more. In inflation-riddled hellholes the smallest unit of account keeps getting larger. This is another step on that path.

Don’t just round down the debt. Repudiate it. Anyone who funded it should be punished for making a bad investment.
@billybinion @mkhammer Round Down the Debt! Let’s eliminate the penny and the nickel. We can round transactions and apply the difference to the national debt. A simple, voluntary effort to unite the country and make an impact.

Next the nickel, then, the dime, quarter, and dollar. This is what happens when government inflates the currency to oblivion.
Fun fact: It costs 3.07 cents to make a penny. We make several billion every year—and data show the vast majority are never spent. There are hundreds of billions of these useless coins floating around the U.S. for no good reason. Abolish the penny.

@ubig1 @danielsgoldman @JDVance Since when are we not supposed to “question the judiciary?” What type government do you think the Constitution created? If you swear an oath to uphold the Constitution, you’re obligated to defy decisions that are unconstitutional, even when they come from some guy in a robe.

@BobMurphyEcon Thank you. FYI. Not sure if you’ve heard the @CoffeeandaMike podcast, but it’s terrific and loaded with great guests. You’d fit right in and I’d love to hear you on it.
@CoffeeandaMike Unfortunately, no. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him briefly a couple times at the Mises Institute, but I doubt he’d remember me. He’d be a great guest tho.

@EndWokeness Congress has authority to kick California out of the U.S. Seeing this moron reminds me it’s high time for them to do it: Evicting an Unruly Tenant:

@dferris1961 And the implication that if only we’d had the CFPB there would’ve been no financial crisis. Unless the CFPB would’ve abolished the Fed, that’s patently ridiculous.

@Ron_on_the_pond @NFL_DovKleiman Which is it? That it’s OK not to keep up? Or that I should stay current?
