Good move, he still sketches me out but he was great for MONTHS and hard to think that was a fluke. Solid #4 starter if he pitches anywhere close to that.
Matt Waldron plans to throw a higher percentage of knuckleballs this year (after a roughly 40% clip last season). "Some of my best games last year ... I just really relied on [the knuckleball]. I felt like it kept them off-balance. I think the intent on it might’ve wavered."

It would suck but trading Suarez seems like a no-brainer — and borderline malpractice if they don’t. You could then afford a back-end starter, maybe someone cheap like Rizzo, AND get back decent prospects and MLB-ready talent. So many weapons in the bullpen, they’d be fine.
Updating the #Padres' opening day cash payroll projection to include deals for Michael King and Elias Diaz.

Trade Suarez and use the money to sign Pivetta
“Getting Pivetta, for example, could free up the Padres to move either Dylan Cease or Michael King, both right-handers set to hit free agency after this season. (King is far less likely to be dealt, according to sources.)” Also listening on Suarez obviously
