For those wondering, I’ve canceled my membership with the national Libertarian Party. I encourage the few remaining left libertarians and those right libertarians and classical liberals that don’t stand for the growing conservative influence in our party to do the same.

Hero worship is the root cause of the toxicity within the liberty movement. Whether it’s Ron Paul, Mises, Rothbard, or even Adam Kokesh, people aren’t perfect. Relegating your ideas to being based around one person forces you to defend that person at all costs. This is a problem.

I'm a libertarian because I value the principle of liberty for all, not just the privileged few. We must achieve freedom for the marginalized and the misunderstood. Liberate the person of color, the immigrant, and the LGBT youth.

I will never be able to empathize with someone who advocates for "traditional values". If you want to have those in your personal life, then that's fine. However, if you want to enforce it on others through government action or social norms, then we're going to have a problem.
