At this time, all area outages have been restored. RMLD crews continue to work to restore power to those affected by damage to their individual home service. Restoration efforts for these customers are expected to continue through the weekend.
Important Update: Wind gusts have increased to a dangerous level for our line crews. For the time being, we are moving to isolation activities needed to maintain public safety. We will resume restoration activities as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your patience.

Friday’s severe storm brought several downed trees and led to a number of outages across Reading and North Reading. Our crews worked around the clock to have all power restored by Saturday. Here are some images of the storm's aftermath.

A High Wind Warning is in effect Friday from 12am-12pm with gusts of up to 60 mph possible. We realize that a storm that may cause power outages on Christmas is the last thing folks want at the end of a tough year. Please know that RMLD is prepared to respond if outages occur.

As part of a NEPPA mutual aid team of several MA Municipal Utilities, RMLD has sent a line crew and truck north, to assist NH Municipal Utilities in the restoration of power from yesterday's storm.
