Working an unexpected shift in the ER today. Called in to replace the doc on duty over COVID issues. I was the only one able to work the shift. Hospitals are full in the state, be very careful out there, drive safely, don't have a stroke, and get vaccinated, wear your N95 mask.

As of today, Arkansas has only 40 open ICU beds in the entire state. Many of those are in small hospitals without much specialty care. And I work tomorrow at a critical access ER at a hospital with no ICU or capacity for vents to be admitted. Wish me luck...

The paralyzed mama dog and the two pups that were rescued before the Franklin Co Sheriff stepped in and arrested two of the people trying to save the other four pups. She looks so much better today with the great care she is getting. Has been taken to an orthopedic vet.
