@LoveInner The Menuhin EMI Recording was my first hearing of the Concerto at age 15. I have the Perlman DG Disc. I bought the Daniel Hope version featuring the New Critical Edition. I couldn't hear any noticeable differences.

@medicitv @BerlinPhil A right old Bastard by all accounts. Players hated him.

@christysnr @RenaudMachart @RoxannaPanufnik @MarkSimpson_88 @KetingSun @SallyHGroves @rafalluc @BMusicSociety @Boosey Very underrated Composer. Does his Music even get performed at all now? His Sinfonia Sacra is a damn sight better than all that Gorecki Tavener crap.

@VWFndn As far as I know these two early Psalms for Chorus and Orchestra have yet to be professionally recorded.

@GjaMacphee Callas would've been outraged and acutely embarrassed by that atrocious abortion. Surely to god.

@ThePianoFiles It's just a shame Grainger wasted his talent on arranging innumerable folk ditties.

@ChrisGPackham @IMDMilo The problem is Capitalism itself. This Pamphlet explains why imploring Politicians is utterly useless. If you balk at the word "Socialism" then ignore it. This may be the best thing you've ever read on the subject.

@hairygit @AloneInBerlin11 @GlasgowAlbum Listen thanks for this. I've searched for Music Clubs up here but incredibly there's nothing. I even sent my Cheque to join the BBC SSO Club...then the Pandemic happened.

@hairygit @AloneInBerlin11 @GlasgowAlbum Great shop. Formidable Women worked there. I wish there was a Music Club in Glasgow. I'm starved for literate Musical company. I've even been on Talk Classical forum trying to find Muso drinking pals. Nothing...

@AloneInBerlin11 @hairygit @GlasgowAlbum I went to Woodside Secondary in Anderston. There I discovered Britten's Young Persons Guide, Debussy's Suite Bergamasque & Ravel's Introduction & Allegro. Later the Religious Ed Teacher gave me all of his old LPs incl Sibelius & Beethoven. I was never out of Casa Cassettes...

@LoveInner Forget the Requiem. Only 40% of it is actual Mozart. The rest is Städler, Eybler, Süssmayr & Freistädtler. The Mass in C Minor is ALL Mozart even though it was also unfinished. The Qui Tollis is the Apex of all Mozart. This is the only recording I'd keep. Forevermore...

@1714tak This album featured the first recording of Stravinsky's tiny Lied ohne Namen for two Bassoons. I rushed out & bought it just for that. I hope the lost Canons for Four Horns from 1917 turns up one day.

@PlusTovell @MannGeorgia @BBCRadio3 One cue from the score entitled "Top of the World" would work equally as well. Great gritty jazzy score from 1975...

@BGatesIsaPyscho Aye. It's called Capitalism which is working beautifully. It's meant to be like this for the 99%, this is how it's supposed to work.
