People who follow me have read my endless posts about why Property Taxes should be abolished. Tonight, my state of California is burning to the ground. I just paid $22,000 in property taxes for safety, firefighting and children at schools. Very little of that money, if any, is used for those services. Newsom uses it for salaries, benefits and pensions for himself and his friends that he appoints to Commissions and government jobs. I asked GROK for an objective view about the best argument to eliminate property taxes. Here's what it said:

@mickitiki When one of youpasses away, that money evaporates. You can choose to keep the higher of the two payments, but all of the other money is gone. The money paid into SS for decades of work, with interest, should be an asset that goes to heirs.

"I have no choice..." says the Asian Grandpa. I happened to be walking on Howard near Russ (between 6th St and 7th) and I caught a particularly heartbreaking scene on camera... one that happens thousands of times a day and largely goes unnoticed, yet still inflicts trauma upon the psyche of the kids who see death on the daily as they simply walk home from school. I would have shared this footage alone, but I noticed how this happened to be across the street from the United Playaz location, and we had JUST heard their leader give an excellent, blunt speech outside City Hall last month, so we added that at the end, because it needs to be heard by more people. How can we fix the streets so kids like this are not forced to witness death on the daily?
