Yesterday, at the Poba Rainforest Festival in Jonai, I announced that this festival will now be a 7-day signature event under our Dhemaji Darsah program. I urged all educational institutions and public establishments to dedicate a day each year as Poba Day to promote nature conservation. Today, i attended the closing ceremony of #PobaRainforestFestival at Jonai in Dhemaji district to celebrate 100 years of Poba RF, now upgraded to a wildlife sanctuary. It covers an area of 10,221 hectares and it's bounded by Daying Ering wildlife sanctuary of Arunachal and Dibru-Chaikhowa NP. Chaired a meeting today at the DRDA conference hall to strategize the enhancement of milk production in Dhemaji district. Representatives from the Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Rural Development Departments, along with Dhemaji Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lakhimpur College of Veterinary Science, NABARD, banks, and local dairy farmers, participated in the discussions.
