What is Gacha? (for smooth-brain beras) β’ Gacha is an off-chain points system β’ Gacha is used for lottery entries to win allocation tickets in Fixed Price sales on Ramen β’ Gacha is earned linearly when you stake $RAMEN Say, there's an upcoming Fixed Price sale for $XYZ on @ramen_finance and there's $300,000 worth of $XYZ allocation. Ramen divides that allocation into smaller tickets β e.g. each ticket is $300 worth of $XYZ allocation and there are 1,000 allocation tickets up for grabs. So, users will use their Gacha to enter into a fair lottery to win allocation tickets. For this launch, the Gacha requirement is 200 Gacha per lottery entry. You have 2,000 Gacha, so you submitted 10 lottery entries. Depending on the total number of lottery entries submitted by all users, you could win 1 or more allocation tickets (of course, you might not win anything at all). If you win, congrats! You can participate in the $XYZ token sale. The more allocation tickets you win, the more you can contribute. This means that it's favorable to earn lots of Gacha. It might also be a smart strategy to be selective about how many Gacha you are entering into each token sale as there may be multiple token sales in a single week. "But Polar," you ask politely, "What if a whale keeps throwing a massive amount of Gacha into each lottery?" My dear silly bear, in each Fixed Price launch, the maximum number of allocation tickets a single wallet can win is 10. Which means the whale could throw 2,000,000 Gacha for 10,000 lottery entries but they will only win 10 allocation tickets maximum. This ensures that allocation isn't dominated by a single whale or a collaborative entity/gRAMEN pool max-bidding in every launch. "What if I'm new to Berachain and Ramen and I don't have enough time to earn Gacha? What if I'm only interested in the next launch on Ramen and I just need some Gacha right now?" Introducing Instant Gachaβ’, coming to a ramen shop near you.

There are legendary people such as 0xFef7...82E3, 0x830b...58E1 who submitted 1 lottery entry and won 1 allocation ticket. And then there's @prodigyxbt who submitted 60 lottery entries.... and unfortunately won nothing feelsbad

Ramen's Price Discovery Mode is a fair way to buy into tokens. If your bid isn't successful, you can claim your $BERA back 100%. No fees. No FOMO, no bid manipulations, no buyers' remorse, no cost to bid.
Ramen's Price Discovery mode uses sealed-bid auction (collab with @axis_fi) that prevents unhealthy behavior such as excessive FOMO & price manipulation. If you would like to learn moar about Ramen's Price Discovery mode, check out this explainer video and read the docs:
