It was not trauma. It appeared spontaneously and grew slowly. She had been in pain since she was 16 years old. When I did the angiograms, I thought it could be an associated venous lake, so I punctured in an attempt to check for venous return and with the intention of applying glue.

This injury is 7 years old. The orthopedists did not want to treat it and referred it to Vascular to resolve it. We performed several percutaneous punctures with the aim of checking if there was a venous lake or a defined nidus and there was no venous return. (The aim was to apply glue - histoacryl). So, we decided to embolize the geniculars. There was no fistula. The response to pain and discomfort was immediate. The patient was asymptomatic and performing activities normally. We will monitor the case. We had informed that it could recur and require additional procedures.
