We just launched a new fee estimator in the @hirosystems Stacks API that massively improves the accuracy of suggested transaction fees. In most cases "more accurate" = "way cheaper". Think 10-100x cheaper. Let's talk about why and how we did it 👇

@_Checkmatey_ Exactly. I’d say right now we’re living in an unusually geriatric world order. History is filled with brilliant war generals, conquerors, kings, scientists, etc. younger than 30.

@JakeBlockchain @eumbab_bokk @mattyTokenomics Yes I believe you are correct. Eventually the arbitrage ends and mining goes back to true market levels

@jackbinswitch Oh man it’s a great show. Definitely recommend. Great throwback to 90s culture but super relevant today with all the corruption and deep state coverups going on in the US federal govt

@eumbab_bokk @mattyTokenomics I don’t have the exact implementation handy to check for that detail but perhaps the great @obycode can give us a hand here

@eumbab_bokk @mattyTokenomics If that new bid is not within range then the block commit is ignored. In other words, miners can no longer bid dust amounts of BTC or exclude other miners like before in Stacks 3.x.

@eumbab_bokk @mattyTokenomics Take a look at SIP-021. It explains MEV and other miner aspects in detail

@ercwl @VitalikButerin Nice. Great list. "The Inner Light" definitely worked for mine. I recall another one that we both loved and talked about for days was "Darmok".

@ercwl @VitalikButerin One of my favorite episodes. Also "The Drumhead" and "Who Watches the Watchers". Excellent moral analyses of justice and the Prime directive.
