As a survivor of physical abuse, I can’t stop thinking about how the whole “throwing a water bottle at a wall is abuse” take completely invalidates and diminishes the experiences of those of have experienced abuse because it makes the discourse around abuse so unserious.

Tonight I signed off from my last client, a dear friend came over, we went for a run on the seawall, chatted and laughed the whole time, made plans for another on Sunday. I’ve been here for just over a year + my life is beautiful; it is full of what I dreamed of. I’m so grateful.
