Trump selects Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, for ambassador to France WHO IS CHARLES KUSHNER? In 2005, he was convicted of illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering, and was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, which he served in the Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery. As a convicted felon, he was also disbarred in three states. Kushner was pardoned by Trump in 2020 after serving a prison sentence following a conviction on federal charges. He is a felon just like trump but apparently that’s ok now in the eyes of 76 million people
