Wow.... even marginal revolution readers are extremely bearish on AI, even in the face of o3 and DeepResearch Apparently, we are still early and the public is going to be smacked in the face with AI progress in the next couple of years

Exactly... why make a superbowl ad catering to really insider takes that most people won't relate to? "AI is like corn??" I liked the ad but it's because I'm obsessed with AI... but I think it won't be memorable or powerful for 99% of viewers
This is a great ad if you are aware of all the conversations about how AGI is going to be as important as the wheel, fire, electricity etc. If you aren’t aware of that… it’s pretty bad

@labenz @ChatGPTapp Totally agree, I wonder when OpenAI will let their models complete pull requests automatically. High risk, low reward, though (Maybe they already are, but with strict human oversight?) Actually, they'd get better ROI from building synthetic data for o4....

@labenz @ChatGPTapp Not worth the time for their engineers to create the setting to support the 0.4% of people that would find and enable it But once they have o3 iterating on the design automatically, you could probably request it, lol
