The CBI says the chancellor has “milked” businesses like “a cash cow” but it accepts the Budget will not be altered. The CBI is hoping to win concessions elsewhere however, specifically on the Employment Rights Bill. As @ITVJoel reports, it argues government policy is muddled - making it more expensive and risky to recruit at a time when ministers are hoping to support people off benefits and back into work.
