Really happy to be home safe in the bay area. I spent 22 days in the hospital and was on 100% life support, intubated and on a ventilator for 11 days, not expected to survive. It's a miracle I'm alive. I'm learning to walk again and grateful to still be on this earth.

After the hospitalization it really got me to rethink my priorities. I'm not adding any more silicone and am gonna redirect this page toward other things. It's not worth the risk on my life to continue adding or focusing on silicone.

Things I wish someone had told me pre-silicone:
-going to the bathroom will be a struggle always
-eventually, all underwear will be painful, custom or not
-the weight will strain muscles and it'll be slow to heal
-you'll get lots of ingrown hairs
-facial hair will feel like

Why haven't I been on here?
Honestly bc I've been enjoying life for once. I've been traveling extensively, found a great job and am settling into the final steps of silicone removal. I appreciate all the friendships I've made on here but that's all I'm really looking for.

Appt went super well for those interested. Things seem healthy overall. Dr. doing the procedure wrote the medical textbook chapter on it. Gonna have an ultrasound of my sack today which should be interesting to see either way 🤔

Don't do silicone, it's not for you. You won't be able to manage it and we don't need any more bodies on our hands. I know this sounds incredibly anti silicone, and odd from me, but if there's any takeaway, it's that we need to stop using people for attention.
