When my teammate @kelleymak met @asklyndon at RSA in 2017, it wasn't just another conference conversation. There was something about him that stayed with us - you could tell Lyndon wasn't just smart about the problem detection space, he was determined to transform it 🔥 🤗 Reflecting on both Lyndon's (@asklyndon) and Tony's (@snowboardvstree) journeys through Endgame, Elastic and others, it's amazing to see how each role shaped their vision for what would become Prequel (. When they shared their plans with us, we knew this was the culmination of everything they'd learned and built and knew we had to jump on it! Today, we couldn't be more excited to announce that @Work_Bench is leading Prequel's $3.3M Seed round! 🤑 Getting to know both Lyndon and Tony over the past year and half has been a complete blast. Their deep technical expertise is matched by their drive to re-imagine how DevOps & SRE teams work. But what really gets me excited is that they aren't just brilliant technologists, they are builders who genuinely care about making their customers' lives better. 💫 It's founders like this who remind me why I do this - technical excellence combined with a genuine mission to make things better. We at @Work_Bench are grateful to partner with them and can't wait for the journey ahead! 🥳 Catch them on @TechCrunch and on our @Work_Bench blog ⤵️

It's crazy that technical debt still feels like a persistent issue despite how far along we've gotten with software development 🤯 We've got all the sophisticated AI-powered tooling, automated testing, better deployment pipelines, you name it - and yet most engineering teams are drowning in quick patches and 'we'll fix it later' debt 🌊 What I realize is that the disconnect isn't in our tools but in current software dev practices. Engineers are shipping code faster than ever but still treat tech debt like it's unavoidable instead of something they can actually manage 🍴My POV is that while better debt-tracking tools would help, the real shift needs to come from eng leaders treating cleanup as a true priority - making debt visible in planning, giving teams the space + resources to address issues, and treating maintenance work as seriously as new features Curious what others are seeing? 🤔

As I continue spending time with enterprise buyers focused on ML Infra, there's one thing I keep hearing over and over again ⬇️ 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Teams are racing to build sophisticated ML projects (especially fine-tuning, training), but they're hitting a wall: inadequate GPU infrastructure, expertise to manage these resources at scale, among other things. The common "we'll figure out the infrastructure later" approach is not working & the gap between AI ambitions + their state of infra is causing major friction 🧠It's why I think we're at an inflection point: the ML infrastructure layer needs to become as accessible as cloud computing did in the 2010s. Just as the cloud eliminated server headaches, modern ML infrastructure should let teams: - Focus on shipping models, not managing GPUs - Scale compute without rebuilding pipelines - Iterate quickly without infrastructure slowdowns & MORE ‼️ I've been a huge fan of what @DonnyGreenberg & team @runhouse_ have been doing in this space so far and know that we are only getting started 🔥
