David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt have brought about multiple wins through their #ProLife advocacy, including the shutting down of DaVinci Biosciences and obtaining evidence for a successful malpractice suit against #PlannedParenthood in Texas. Now, a major hurdle against their work in our own city has finally fallen. Since 2017, Pro-Life San Francisco has come alongside David and Sandra of @CtrMedProgress at the Bryant Street Hall of Justice and Civic Center Courthouse to provide moral support and engage the public with rallies lauding their hidden camera journalism. We are so happy to see this chapter come to a close. In exchange for a dismissal of trial that removes ALL RISK of incarceration in state prison, David and Sandra have entered into a plea deal limiting them from identifying or making contact with filmed subjects from certain hidden camera videos. Pleading "no contest" to 1 remaining charge out of 8 does not equal an admission of guilt, but that's not stopping our Attorney General, @AGRobBonta, from making a victory lap for the #abortion movement — claiming that he secured a felony conviction. Abiding by the terms of the deal means that, within a year, the accusation against David and Sandra will be re-classified as a misdemeanor charge with a “not guilty” plea and then completely erased. With this case fading away in the rear view mirror, we are looking forward to an amazing increase of reporting coming out of CMP.
