@alancornett Each of those locations was a “small place.” And they needed to know their own small place so well they could connect it to other small places. Real entrepreneurs are not so much risk takers as they can cross innumerable cultural frontiers.

@kissel_adam No STEM or nursing program brings net revenue to an institution without external funding, grants, patents, or major partnerships. They are cost leaders that generate positive public attention. Gen ed, comms, normal math, and humanities keep the lights on.
