βοΈ We need an Efficiency Department on @Aptos. I'm not claiming the role of Elon Musk in this story β just sharing my vision, lol. Do we really need to aim to surpass Solana in the number of users or Ethereum in overall utility volume? Solana and Ethereum can comfortably serve the interests of all crypto users even if their numbers multiply several times over. Other ecosystems will only become relevant if Solana runs out of capacity. It's like a bucket of water β there's no point in getting a new bucket until the old one is completely full. And that doesn't seem likely anytime soon. What am I getting at? I believe we shouldnβt chase this goal β it's not efficient. Aptos should focus on where it's truly strong: it's not about the degen narrative; it's about integration with the real financial sector. The ecosystem should focus not on external users but on internal ones. We need to dig deeper into questions of efficiency. When there's a behemoth ecosystem that you can't compete with under its own rules, you simply need to change the rules and stop competing in the traditional way. Aptos has a community. It's not huge, but it genuinely loves and believes in Aptos. Given the current circumstances and variables, I believe a closed ecosystem strategy would be more effective. By this, I mean a model where we donβt invite others to join us β instead, we create conditions that make others want to come to us themselves. How? Letβs approach this from the perspective of mathematics and efficiency science: 1. Improve the success rate of projects. Large ecosystems are the primary target for most project launches. A successful launch is quite difficult and unlikely. The more launches, the lower the success rate. By filtering each launch carefully, we can increase the guarantee that a project will make noise and continue to thrive. Yes, this means fewer projects within the ecosystem. But if user numbers are limited and the focus is on internal users rather than external ones β is that really a problem? 2. Create conditions for long-term play. A rational user will choose a model of "stable but smaller" rather than "large but one-off and risky." Solana currently follows the latter model, while Aptos has the potential for the former. Whatβs needed for this? Focus on specific projects and apply strict filtering to new ones. Ecosystem projects should receive comprehensive support. Every project should be thoroughly vetted before launch. When a project receives support, gains stability, and has a consistent user base β it's ready for long-term play, as is the user who isn't afraid of risks associated with short-term project activity. 3. A step toward centralization. Ondo, which many Aptos users had high hopes for as a springboard into the RWA sector, announced the launch of its own blockchain and hinted that decentralization has no place in the future. I agree. We need to move away from a model where anyone can launch an NFT collection, token, or protocol. I'll repeat β in a closed, small ecosystem, we donβt need hundreds of projects. We need a few in each category, whose activities are fully transparent, controlled, and aligned with general rules. This is just a proposal β let's discuss it. A smart vassal never attacked the king; instead, he stepped aside, gained strength, and eventually became king himself.
