Illinois has enacted an EPR law for portable primary and rechargeable batteries, as well as medium format batteries. The bill was developed with technical support from PSI and incorporated best practices from PSI’s battery EPR policy model. Read more:

Households and businesses across Maryland will soon be able to recycle their leftover paint thanks to a new law (HB1/SB325) signed by Governor Wes Moore. Maryland is now the 12th state to adopt PaintCare program. Read more: #EPR2024
