Excited to share that @cjarrayadev , Alvan Arulandu, Advay Goel, and I won 3rd place at the @agihouse_org MIT Hackathon! We built Donna, an AI legal deposition assistant that performs semantic search on deposition videos and compares verbal testimony against case documents.

This is how you do generative AI for consumers - simply amazing. Sort of reminds me of Clippy from the early 2000s in Windows but so much better. Wonder if Clippy would’ve succeeded with generative AI. Guess we’ll get to test that hypothesis now with Copilot+.

We covered the Rapid7 acquisition of Metasploit in my ES 94 class at Harvard. This poses a broader question: how do acquisitions on open-source projects succeed Is the MongoDB approach — offer O-S arch while attaching fees to hosting & convenience features — the best one?

I was recently working on a Next.js generative AI project and found out that Python serverless functions don't yet support text streaming. Kind of a bummer since many GenAI frameworks are better suited for Python than JS. Would love to see this capability @vercel !

@RonNachum I've been on Arc for a while. It's fantastic but I think it suffers from two big pitfalls: Performance: The browser's energy impact on Mac is exorbitant even after switching to Metal. Scale: Curious how TBCNY plans to survive in a market where competitors are completely free?

If most browsers support HTTP2 and TLS these days and gRPC is better performant than REST, then why do so many developers still use REST? Compatibility doesn't seem to be the issue? #gRPC #gRPCvsREST #PerformanceOverCompatibility
